How do I place an order?
All orders start with our inquiry form. Once it’s submitted, we’ll be in touch to chat details, availability, and next steps.
How far in advance should I inquire?
We recommend reaching out as early as possible. We take on a limited number of orders each month to ensure quality and care.
Do you offer cake tastings?
At this time, we do not offer in-person cake tastings. However, we’re happy to guide you through our flavour options and help you choose combinations that suit your event.
Do you accept last-minute orders?
Because we work in small batches, availability for last-minute orders is limited—but you’re always welcome to ask!

Order & Delivery Policies
Please ensure you review our terms carefully before placing an order. The following apply to all orders unless otherwise stated. Our terms may be updated without notice.
- Vanilla Bean Lane operates from a home-based kitchen and while “nut-free” options are available, the kitchen is not considered a “nut-free” environment.
- Payment is due in part (50%) to secure the order. The remainder of the payment (50%) is due 30 days prior to the event date.
- Payment is refundable in full up to 30 calendar days prior to the scheduled pick up or delivery date. Any cancellations after that period will be subject to a 20% administration fee.
- We must receive the total balance of the order at the latest, two weeks before the event date or the contract/order is null and void, and the deposit will not be refunded.
- Requests for any changes on the order (including cancellations), must be made before making the final payment. Once an order is paid in full, we reserve the right to decline any changes related to the order.
- Changes to the delivery or pickup date (and/or time) will NOT be accepted within 48 hours of the original delivery/pickup date and/or time.
- In the event that a store credit has been provided to you, it must be used towards an order (or orders) where the event date is within 1 year from the date of the original event. All future order dates are subject to availability.
- Our products may contain milk, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens.
- We are not responsible for any damages to the dessert after it has been delivered or received. The dessert should not be placed under direct sunlight and it should be stored at room temperature below 23 degrees celsius.
- If you or your representative elect to pick up and/or set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the dessert once it leaves our possession.
- We reserve the right to use any photographs of the dessert for display or promotion without compensation.
- All rental items must be returned in their original conditions within 2 days after the event. A $50 late fee will be assessed for each day late. A replacement fee will be charged for each item not returned or damaged.
- The drafts and sketches are presented as representations of the dessert. The actual product may vary based on the designer’s creative interpretation or structural necessity of the dessert.
